Daily Practice & Closing

Daily Battle Within Check-In

Use this short practice at the end of the day or whenever your recovery feels unsettled. The goal is not perfection. The goal is awareness followed by one responsible action.

When the Battle Gets Loud

Pause. Get honest. Do not isolate. Contact a trusted support person, sponsor, peer, clinician, spiritual support, or recovery resource. If you may harm yourself or someone else, are in medical danger, or need detoxification, contact emergency or crisis services immediately. In the United States, call or text 988 for the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline; call 911 for an immediate emergency.

988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline

Call or text. Free, confidential, 24/7.

SAMHSA National Helpline

1-800-662-HELP (4357). Free, confidential, 24/7 treatment referral.

911 — Immediate danger

For immediate physical danger only.

Closing Declaration

My story is not finished.

My past may explain me, but it will not govern me.

I will keep writing through honesty, accountability, recovery, purpose, and service.
