The Battle Within Recovery Program collects information you voluntarily provide, including your name, email address, daily check-in responses, journal entries, recovery tracking data, course and workbook progress, and optional profile information such as a profile picture.

We also automatically collect technical data such as your device type, app version, and usage patterns to improve the app experience.

How We Use Your Information

Your data is used to provide and personalize the app features you use — daily check-ins, journaling, recovery tracking, guided courses, and progress history. We do not sell your data to third parties.

Sharing With Facilitators

You may voluntarily connect with a facilitator and choose which categories of your data to share. Sharing is entirely opt-in and can be revoked at any time. No data is shared with a facilitator unless you explicitly grant access.

Private reflections (such as recovery period personal reasons and archived reflections) are never shared with facilitators.

Data Security

Your data is stored securely with row-level security policies that ensure only you (and facilitators you have explicitly authorized) can access your records. Admin accounts have limited access for platform maintenance and safety purposes.

Your Rights

You have the right to access, modify, or delete your data at any time through the app. Account deletion permanently removes your data. You may also revoke facilitator access to your shared data at any time.

Data Retention

Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, your data is permanently removed and cannot be recovered.
